🌍 How will AI shape the future of medicine?
Last week, 42 international participants gathered in Dresden for the AI in Medicine Summer School, an inspiring week of interdisciplinary exchange on how AI is transforming healthcare – from radiology to pathology to precision medicine and beyond.
🔹 Hands-on sessions tackling real-world medical challenges;
🔹 Discussions on ethics, legal frameworks, and clinical applications;
🔹 Networking and exchange with peers from across the globe;
🔹 Inspiring and thought-challenging keynotes from experts, including Jakob Nikolas Kather, who discussed AI-driven precision medicine, and Matthias Rantalainen, our partner from Stratipath, who delivered a lecture on “Deploying AI in the real world: From model development to clinical translation”.
This outcome-oriented course equipped participants with both the knowledge and practical skills to navigate the fast-evolving role of AI in medicine.
The Summer School was co-organized by the EKFZ for Digital Health, the European Interdisciplinary Society of Artificial Intelligence for Cancer Research (ESAC), and in partnership with the GENIAL and TransformLiver project consortia.
✨ A big thank you to all speakers, organizers, and participants for making this week such a success!
